Worship Service at Covenant Presbyterian Church
Worship is at 10:30 A.M. each Sunday. The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month during worship.
We expect a liturgical Sunday morning service, (in keeping with the denomination's Book of Common Worship), which follows the lectionary calendar of readings and special days but is conducted with warmth and humor in a multi-sensory style. We modify this only for inclusion of a children's message and seasonal contributions from our very active youth, choral, and drama programs.
Special services of worship are conducted during the seasons of Advent and Lent. Please check the church calendar. We have also used our annual Lenten and Advent worship series as opportunities to try creative new approaches to worship such as the music from the ecumenical community in Taize, France.
Nursery Care: Infants, toddlers and preschoolers are welcome in our nursery each Sunday from 10:00 A.M. until after worship. Our nursery is staffed with experienced workers who provide a safe, nurturing environment. (All workers are screened).
The French neo-Gothic architecture, and Tiffany, LaFarge and DeAscenzo stained glass of our building and the location and history of our congregation creates the aura of a "cathedral" type of church.
