Opening Prayer
Mighty God, stay with us always, as we worship and as we share the risk and challenge of living our faith. By your powerful Spirit, turn our fear to courage and our confusion to confidence. Your glory shines in the face of Christ. Shine in our hearts and lives today. Amen.
Prayer of Confession
Lord God, your ways are holy and good, and we would learn them and live them. We gather to worship you and to hear your word and to ask your blessing upon us and our world. We pray that you will speak to us in our hearts and in our minds and show us how to live and love better than we have to this time.
Almighty and everlasting God, you have consistently shown your faith and care to us, especially in our worst of times. Influence us now with your constant presence, that we may persevere in all circumstances of life. And more than that, help us to proclaim your power and majesty in all that we do and say. You have given us prophets in every age to convey your word and will. Give us the wisdom to know the true from the false; the right from the wrong; the way from the wilderness. In Christ’s name. Amen
